July brought a few beautiful special edition books from by book subscription boxes, FaeCrate, Owl Crate, and LitJoy. Also, the 3 books in the stack are my lovely required reading for my Colonial New England History class in August…
- The Red Labyrinth by Meredith Tate
- I hadn’t heard of this book until it arrived in my FaeCrate box. The special edition cover is really eerie! I am excited to add this to my TBR list.
- Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim
- Another I hadn’t heard of until it arrived in my box, this is Mulan meets Project Runway it says in the description. Also, when a advertisement for this says fans of Sarah J. Maas will enjoy it, I immediately have to read it! Another Special Edition cover that truly is breathtaking!
- The Beholder by Anna Bright
- The original cover is beautiful! Not quite a fan of this special edition cover. It’s very plain in comparison to the original. Now, the synopsis of this book sounds reminiscent of Cinderella, but the Goodreads reviews are pretty…honest. I have so much hype for this, yet it is not at the top of my TBR because a lot of other reviewers were pretty let down.
Discussion:
What books did July bring you? Do you subscribe to monthly book boxes as well?
