Revenge of the Witch by Joseph Delaney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I rate this a 4/5 for this sole reason that I found it hard at times to keep reading. This first book was really to lay a foundation down for the series, which I understood, but am not quite used to after having read faster paced books just a month ago. I hadn’t realized until I was a couple chapters in that this is the book that the movie “Seventh Son” is based off, which also explains why I kept imagining Jeff Bridges as the Spook. It was a good book that brought to light the potential that I thought the movie lacked. There are so many unanswered questions that I find slightly frustrating but at the same time, I realize it is to lay a foundation down for the rest of the books within the series.
I am thoroughly looking forward to continuing the series in the coming months with my book club š
